Episode #116: How to Watch Videos That Won't Play

Gaining access to most videos isn't that difficult if you're willing to take a few extra steps.

One legal caveat to start today’s episode:

Paywalls are erected on websites to protect digital media. Therefore, any methods for circumventing those paywalls violate the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). The DMCA legislation prohibits circumventing an effective technological means of control that restricts access to a copyrighted work.

Please know that in advance before proceeding with the advice that I provide in today’s episode. My assumption here is that you’ll reserve using this technique to access media you’ve already paid to access when your browser throws up a block.

In my example, I’m using the Brave browser with all shields up, something I do to remove all trackers, ads, and fingerprinting. While this is great for my privacy, it’s sometimes not great for websites that need to load data.

If your browser, like mine, sometimes throws up a block and prevents you from accessing data, then this is a great solution.

OK? OK!

And that, friend, is a wrap for today’s episode. Thanks for being a FREE subscriber. For just $8/mo or $60/year, you can become a paid subscriber. That’s WAY less money than you spend on coffee in just one week and the high you’ll get, will last far longer…

As always… surf safe! 👍🏼 👌🏾
